The best eulogy for Arthur C. Clarke I've seen so far. I've read only a fraction of his books, but books like the Rama series, Childhoods End, 2001 (and the sequels 2010, 2061 and 3001), Fountains of Paradise, The Light of Other Days are all amongst my favorites.

As is The City and the Stars - one of my all time favorite science fiction books
